The integrated two-way paging and intercom system consists of components for the control room as well as the shooting range booths and staging areas. It is designed to allow communications in two directions, under the control of the Range Master.
The master position is able to page the staging area or the booth positions. A call button is fitted into the housing of each Local Control Screen allowing the shooter to communicate with the range officers.
Communication at the booth is hands-free. There are buttons on the Master Control Screen to indicate calls placed, and to control the communication paths. The Range Master is able to communicate in an intercom mode with one booth position at a time. Multiple calls from booth positions to the master position are stacked until the Range Master selects the next position for communication.
The levels of the audio for each function are controlled automatically by the host CPU. The system is configured around a high power amplifier to ensure that the speakers at the booth positions provide an adequate sound pressure level to penetrate the hearing-protective headset attenuation. The control of the communications system is fully integrated into the Master Control Screen. The system is configured as required for each site.
