The Touch Plus ™ Photoelectric Safety Beam Package incorporates upper and lower invisible infrared beams. For detection, both beams must be broken simultaneously, leading to fewer false alarms. The beams can be installed in both outdoor and indoor ranges.

The Firing Line Photoelectric Safety Beam system is an infrared photoelectric beam. The beam is installed for either indoor applications, with a limit of 70 feet, or outdoor, with a limit of 165 feet The beam characteristics are 1,000pps 8,800A pulsed infrared, operating between 10 and 30 vdc with a current draw less than 37ma. The indicator on the transmitter is green when transmitting. The indicator on the receiver is red when the beam is interrupted.

The beam connects to the Touch Plus ™ Control Cabinet and is a fully integrated part of the system. It has the capability of being enabled or disabled from the Master Control Screen and when broken, all target carrier movement will stop and all targets will turn to the edge position. Optionally, and if so equipped, the range lights in the range are turned on to full brightness and red signal lights will flash when the safety bean is broken.
